What Alphaviu is not: not an adviser, not a buy signal, not a guarantee
Alphaviu measures and shows; it does not recommend. No score, signal or backtest on the site takes your situation into account, and none guarantees an outcome.
Better to say it before we are asked. Alphaviu calculates measurements and shows them. It does not tell you what to do with your money, and nothing it displays should be read as an instruction.
Not an adviser
Investment advice starts from you: your horizon, your income, what you can afford to lose, what you already hold, your taxes. Alphaviu knows none of that, and does not try to. With the same settings, the same score is shown to everyone, at the same moment, on the same stock. It therefore cannot be personalised advice.
Not a buy signal
The words “Buy”, “Watch” and “Avoid” on the dashboard name ranges of scores. They say where a setup stands, not what to do. A score of 80 is not an instruction: it is a measurement, which ignores what the price will do and whether the stock suits you.
Not a guarantee
A backtest measures what a rule would have produced over a past period, with its assumptions. A candlestick pattern describes a shape. A scenario draws a range. None guarantees an outcome, and past performance is no guide to future performance. Investing carries a risk of capital loss.
What Alphaviu is, then
- A measuring instrument, which says where every point of every score comes from.
- A sorting tool, to look closely at a few stocks among thousands.
- A site that states its limits, including unfavourable ones: what our backtest does not tell you is written by us.
The decision, and the risk, remain yours. The commitments in detail are in the legal notice and on the Methodology page.
